Moot Details Form
This form is designed to provide a convenient way for organisers to notify the mooters of the time,
date and opposition details of a forthcoming moot.
Patronising instructions for using the form:
What needs to be filled in
- Name of recipient mooters - in the 'To' box at the top
- Name(s) of Mooting Officer(s) - in the 'From' box
- Date - the date of the moot
- Time - expected start and finish times of the moot
- Place - building and room details
- The problem - the case title of the moot problem (e.g. Smith -v- Jones)
- Appellants / Respondents - indicate whether the team are appellants or respondents by deleting whichever is not applicable
- The opponents - indicate whether the opposing mooters are appellants or respondents by deleting whichever is not applicable and then fill in the names of the two opposing mooters in the box provided
- Citations - fill in a person or place (e.g. the Law Society notice board / pigeon hole) where the citation sheets should be handed and a deadline when they must be handed in by
- Queries - fill in the contact details of the mooting officers for dealing with any queries which may arise before the moot
- Attached - cross out whatever is not attached
What needs to be sent with the form
- A copy of the moot problem
- A copy of the mooting rules - available here
- Two blank citation forms (one for the mooting officer, and one for the other side) - available here
- (Optional) Introductory guide to mooting - available here
- (Optional) An additional copy of the moot problem, mooting rules and introductory guide, so that there is one for each mooter
- (Optional) A spare copy of the citation form
